Frequently Asked Questions

Which countries can I compare?

You can compare any two of our supported countries: Portugal, Spain, Dubai, and France. We are adding more countries throughout the year, including Italy, Greece, Cyprus, and the Netherlands.

What metrics are included in the comparison?

Cost of living, tax burden, healthcare quality, safety index, climate data, visa accessibility, internet speed, English proficiency, expat community size, and quality-of-life scores. Each metric links to its data source.

Where does the data come from?

We aggregate data from official government statistics, Numbeo, the WHO, World Bank, Transparency International, OECD, and other verified public sources. Every data point is linked to its source.

Can I weight the comparison based on my priorities?

Yes. The free version uses default weightings. Pro users can adjust the importance of each category to see a comparison that reflects what actually matters to them.

How often is the comparison data updated?

Core datasets are refreshed quarterly. Tax rates and visa requirements are updated within 48 hours of any official change. Each metric shows a "last updated" date.
